Ralph Seger said it best, “an investor without investment objectives is like a traveler without a destination.” In other words, it’s one thing to purchase a property, but another to have a plan for that property’s future. With several new properties added to our portfolio this past year, 2021 is gearing up to be the year of projects and renovations for The Boston Group. We strive to make the most of our properties by attentively seeking opportunities on how we can better serve our guests. This of course means tackling many projects at various locations simultaneously to stay competitive in the market. Read on to learn about our top three project plans for this year and how we’re investing in our investments!
SOUTHERN OAKS RECREATION ADDITION
With 270 acres, Southern Oaks allows us the opportunity to expand and offer more amenities to our guests. Currently, the plans have been set in motion for the addition of a shuffleboard and pickle ball court! This decision wasn’t entirely made by us, but rather from reviews and suggestions made by former and current guests. Who better to tell us how to improve the park than those who are staying with us? Now with the current concrete being laid for these courts, our hope is that by end of spring we should have them up and running for our guests to enjoy!
Rio Bonito I Cabin Remodel
Currently our only location (for now) offering cabin rentals, Rio Bonito, is one of our tried-and-true investments. Back in December 2018, the expansion of Rio Bonito II was open for business! This brand-new RV Park offered guests a modern, luxury place to stay, which includes a resort style pool. paved sites, brand new laundry facility, and much more! Now with that park’s construction finished, it was time to turn our attention back to the original resort and give some love to our cabins.
With an entirely new floor plan, this project is one of our largest undertaking this year. New paint, shiplap walls, an ornate chandelier, an updated loft sleeping space, all new appliances, and more, these cabins will be the pinnacle of glamping! As of today, we are closing in on wrapping everything up, and cannot wait to show off our new cabin!
The Boat Stop Boat Launch
Our largest project of the year has been a long time coming. The Boat Stop, our premier boat storage facility in Corpus Christi, is gaining a major improvement: the addition of a boat launch! Our completely secured property will offer clients the ability to launch, clean, and store their boat without worry. However, this boat launch will also be available to the public through our club membership. This extensive project has been in the works for years, but with approved permits and crews lined up, we’re finally breaking ground this month! The completion of this project is still undetermined, but we’re hopeful for this to be completed by the end of 2021!
