We have successfully invested, operated, built, and managed dozens of assets including (but not limited to) assisted living facilities, multi-family properties, manufactured housing communities, office buildings, land, oil and gas portfolios, recreation vehicle communities, and storage facilities.

Our History:
The Boston Group was founded by Dave Johnson, a small-town farm kid from eastern Washington, in 1985.
After graduating college, Dave decided to pursue his dream of owning his own firm, and so, The Boston Group was established in 1985 with one contract and a single desk that he rented out inside of a mortgage broker office.
35 years later, The Boston Group, is a thriving investment and property management firm and has nearly 40 assets under management, with twelve of them being housing communities that hold over 3500 tenants.

Dave Johnson – Owner and Founder of The Boston Group
Dave Johnson is first a dedicated husband, father to ten children, and grandfather to 25 grandchildren. Secondly, he is a passionate business owner, investment, and management professional who holds credentials as a CPM (Certified Property Management), coupled with a prestigious AMO (Accredited Management Organization) accreditation.
Dave started The Boston Group in 1985 and has since brokered, managed, operated, and sold over $100 million of real estate from residential homes, RV communities, office buildings, apartment buildings, assisted living centers, world class storage facilities and everything in between. He continues to challenge the status quo in the investment and property management world by looking for unique opportunities and discovering unseen potential.
Leslie Mudd – VP of Operations and Accounting and Strategic Assistant
Leslie Mudd served her country as a non-commissioned officer for the Texas Army National Guard for 8 years as a finance and paralegal soldier. After completing her military career, equipped with a bachelor’s in Management/Accounting from Park University and an Associate in Paralegal Studies, she undertook a position at Recruit Veterans, LLC as a budget and forecast analyst for 4 years. Now at the Boston Group, Leslie’s responsibilities involve serving as the strategic assistant to the owner, portfolio management, and management of operations for the company. Leslie brings her 15 years of leadership and management experience to the success of The Boston Group team.
Carlos L. Sigcho – Director of Property Management
Carlos is an accomplished professional and U.S. Army veteran with over 27 years of experience, demonstrating a proven track record in leadership, project management, logistics, and financial operations. His career has been marked by successfully steering complex, high-value programs with utmost accountability and optimizing operations for maximum efficiency. Leading large teams, Carlos has ensured the effective management of state and federal resources while upholding standards of compliance and quality.
Now stepping into the role of Director of Property Management for The Boston Group, he brings a wealth of expertise to enhance property performance and tenant satisfaction across the region.
Deneatria Moenga – Accounting Supervisor
Deneatria is a recent graduate from Western Governors University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting. She initially gained her love for accounting by primarily working in accounts payable, office management, as well as various customer service roles. She is always eager to learn new things and plans to apply her previous experiences to her current position. She joins the accounting team by assisting with the financials and hopes to continue to drive the success of The Boston Group while she furthers her education by obtaining her master’s degree.
Tanya Alicea – Accounting Professional
Tanya Alicea was born in Puerto Rico. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the Metropolitan University of San Juan, PR. She gained over 15 years of experience working as an accounting professional for different industries like automobile dealerships, hotels, and CPA firms. She worked as a Bookkeeper Level III for the Cumberland County School District from 2013 – 2021. These diverse industries provided her with growth opportunities and competitive experiences in the accounting field.
In October 2021, she moved to Texas and joined The Boston Group Investment & Management company. A great experience that will challenge her in many ways as she continues to grow in the accounting industry.
Crystal Moore – Construction Accountant
Crystal has over a decade of experience in the construction industry, she excels in delivering customized financial solutions to keep projects on budget and achieve financial objectives. Her extensive expertise covers a wide range of accounting services tailored to the unique needs of construction businesses. Crystal is proficient in developing detailed, accurate project budgets, ensuring cost efficiency, and maintaining financial transparency from start to finish. She provides comprehensive financial reports and analyses, offering valuable insights into project performance and overall business health. Crystal adeptly implements precise job costing methods to monitor expenses and revenues, optimizing profitability and project success. Additionally, she is proficient in using top-tier accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage 300, and Procore to streamline financial processes and enhance accuracy.
Victor K. Maze – Marketing Manager/Multimedia Designer
Victor has demonstrated a distinguished career spanning over 20 years as a marketing specialist, graphic designer, video producer, and photographer. Currently, as the Marketing Manager/Multimedia Designer at The Boston Group, he plays a pivotal role in marketing, design, web development, Google and Facebook ad management, photography, and video production. His dedication to this position will be instrumental in achieving our marketing objectives.
Before joining The Boston Group, Victor accrued significant experience as a Marketing Coordinator for Heritage Operations Group, a company that owns and manages over 20 skilled nursing and assisted living communities across Illinois.
Jasmine Thompson – Customer Service Specialist
Jasmine is a skilled Guest Services Representative with a diverse background in customer service and healthcare administration. With experience in making reservations, addressing guest inquiries, and delivering high-quality customer service, Jasmine ensures that every interaction is handled with professionalism and care.
Before transitioning into her current role, Jasmine worked as a Medical Receptionist, where she gained valuable experience in managing patient appointments, handling medical records, and providing support in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This role enhanced her organizational skills and attention to detail, contributing to her ability to effectively manage guest services.
Jasmine also has a background in health insurance and is a licensed life insurance agent, further showcasing her expertise in client relations and support.
Her blend of healthcare administration and customer service experience makes her adept at handling diverse challenges. Her commitment to professionalism and her passion for helping others make her a valuable asset to any team.
